With the intel driver, the server crashes as soon as you have an Option "Xinerama" "on" in your xorg.conf, even if it is a simple single head configuration. The server just dies with a backtrace in the log file. This bug corresponds to https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10299 in the upstream BTS.
