I don't suppose there is an easy way to get the monitor refresh rates configured in xorg.conf that doesn't involve hunting the web for appropriate values (and exactly whatever needs putting in the xorg.conf anyway). I have filed a bug about that - I think that when ddc is unavailble that there should be a picker like the one that was in dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg that allows one to pick a monitor type (in the simple version), or monitor res and max vertical? refresh to get those values for xorg.conf. Or at least a good lookup table whose location is clearly documented, preferably in xorg.conf. Regards, Daniel -- And that's my crabbing done for the day. Got it out of the way early, now I have the rest of the afternoon to sniff fragrant tea-roses or strangle cute bunnies or something. -- Michael Devore GnuPG Key Fingerprint 86 F5 81 A5 D4 2E 1F 1C http://gnupg.org No more sea shells: Daniel's Weblog http://cshore.wordpress.com
