Thanks for the explanation. A question remains however -- xorg.conf
is generated by dexconf in this case. I have not changed anything
other than the default colour depth; that too nearly two years back.
Kernel also remains unchanged over past several months. So how do I
find out what changed in between? Would that be a bug somewhere else?
