I'm having the same problem here, using gtk-window-decorator. Please note also that the same problem occurs if you load compiz rather than compiz-fusion by running compiz --replace gconf. The title bard and window borders disappear in the same way, except in that case you don't get the "Couldn't load plugin 'ccp'" error.
Here's the output when running with the gconf option under Gnome: $ compiz --replace gconf Checking for Xgl: not present. Detected PCI ID for VGA: Checking for texture_from_pixmap: present. Checking for non power of two support: present. Checking for Composite extension: present. Comparing resolution (1280x1024) to maximum 3D texture size (4096): Passed. Checking for nVidia: present. No nvidia-settings program available to determine VideoRam.Checking for FBConfig: present. Checking for Xgl: not present. Starting gtk-window-decorator I don't know whether that means the problem lies elsewhere than in the libcompizconfig0 library.
