Another update: I can reproduce this bug with xserver-xorg-video-intel/2:2.3.1-1 (installed from unstable), unfortunately. In the meanwhile, I noticed that the upstream bug has been closed as fixed in mesa7.0: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15057#c4 I'm really looking forward to seeing the cited patch (709f24adbb21419881f0d857c8454814f85c2757) included in the Debian package!
