Please report this upstream at bugzilla.freedesktop.org product xorg component driver/intel. There are many different lockups with this driver, there are very few chances that yours is the same than the one reported in #432110, which is already closed by the way. Talking to upstream directly, especially if you have an easy way to reproduce would help a lot. Make sure you attach your xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log from after the hang. You should do that with at least driver 2.2.1 or later (git master) and a very recent Mesa too (at least 7.0.3-rc2).
