I used git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/xorg/driver/xf86-video-intel and built the driver following instructions that you had given another user in bugreport 436336, message #27. I will let you know about the 2:2.2.1-1 package as soon as it becomes available on my mirror. (I am on amd64 and so far I see the new package only in my i386 chroot.)
