Hi Mohammed, My format is compatible with xmodmap. I don't know much about layouts, but it works if i give "xmodmap /path/to/gvorak/file", and so it is ok for me. I submitted it as a wish-bug, because i thought it would be useful for more people, but i don't intend rewritting it to be used by setxkbmap, i think it's more complicated than it's worth. So I suppose it's ok to close the bug... Have a happy new year,
