I installed xserver-xorg-core-dbg and tried attaching to the running X server using gdb, but that didn't generate any useful info: $ cat ~root/gdb.txt Attaching to program: /usr/bin/X, process 3473 (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) 0xffffe410 in __kernel_vsyscall () Continuing. Warning: Cannot insert breakpoint -3. Error accessing memory address 0xd0f0: Input/output error. Detaching from program: /usr/bin/X, process 3473 /usr/share/doc/xserver-xorg-core-dbg was silent on how to do a proper debug session. Any pointers?
