I don't think this is going to happen. Compiz and Metacity are not to similar, they are just 2 window managers that happen to be able to replace each other. This wishlist looks like asking Gnome and KDE to use the same settings... If you really want this to happen, you should talk to the upstream compiz dev and see what happens...
