/usr/X11R6/bin is a simple link to /usr/bin. This makes compiling a different version of X11 difficult and requires manually moving the X11 unique files from to /usr/bin to another directory. The /usr/X11/bin should always be kept and X11 unique files installed in it. This way, new versions may be tested an installed without the user having to compensate for this deficit.
