xserver-xorg-video-ati 6.6.3 is very old unfortunately. You should try with the latest driver, xserver-xorg-video-ati 6.7.192 which is currently in experimental. But you would have to upgrade xserver-xorg-core to experimental too. If you're afraid of that, I have rebuild 6.7.192 against unstable, the package is available from http://people.debian.org/~bgoglin/ati-for-sid/ Also, after suspend/resume (once DPMS is engaged and X does not recover), go to a virtual console and tell me what the following command line says (dpms lines at the end of its output): $ DISPLAY=:0 xset q Then try the following commands in case they help recovering: $ DISPLAY=:0 xset -dpms $ DISPLAY=:0 xset force dpms off Brice -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
