You need a new nVidia driver which supports Xserver 1.4 (xserver-xorg-core 1.3.99.0 is the packaging of the first release candidate of Xserver 1.4). But I don't know whether nVidia will release such a driver before the official Xserver 1.4 is released (planned for the end of August).
