Some i965 are only supported in the upcoming 2.6.22. Although your i965 should be supported for a long time from what I see in the kernel changelog, maybe some fixes of 2.6.22 are required.
You should check what dmesg says when you load the intel_agp kernel module. It is the one that should make /dev/agpgart appear and solve the following error: (EE) GARTInit: Unable to open /dev/agpgart (No such file or directory) (WW) intel(0): /dev/agpgart is either not available, or no memory is available for allocation. Using pre-allocated memory only. Looking at dmesg while i915 and drm modules might also show whether DRI will work with this kernel. If you don't want to compile a 2.6.22 kernel (actually, a 2.6.22-rc7, which is pretty close to the upcoming final 2.6.22), use the following in your /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://kernel-archive.buildserver.net/debian-kernel trunk main or just take a kernel package from http://kernel-archive.buildserver.net/debian-kernel/pool/main/l/linux-2.6/ Brice -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
