Which mesa packages are you using? does it help if you upgrade to testing/unstable (6.5.2-5) or experimental (6.5.3-1)?
I'm using the ones in unstable: ii libgl1-mesa-de 6.5.2-5 A free implementation of the OpenGL API -- G ii libgl1-mesa-dr 6.5.2-5 A free implementation of the OpenGL API -- D un libgl1-mesa-dr <none> (no description available) ii libgl1-mesa-gl 6.5.2-5 A free implementation of the OpenGL API -- G un libgl1-mesa-sw <none> (no description available) ii libglu1-mesa 6.5.2-5 The OpenGL utility library (GLU) ii libglu1-mesa-d 6.5.2-5 The OpenGL utility library -- development su ii mesa-common-de 6.5.2-5 Developer documentation for Mesa un mesa-glide2-de <none> (no description available) ii mesa-utils 6.5.2-5 Miscellaneous Mesa GL utilities un mesag-dev <none> (no description available) un mesag3 <none> (no description available) un mesag3+ggi-dev <none> (no description available) un xlibmesa-dev <none> (no description available) un xlibmesa-dri <none> (no description available) un xlibmesa-gl <none> (no description available) ii xlibmesa-gl-de 1:7.2-5 transitional package for Debian etch un xlibmesa-glu <none> (no description available) un xlibmesa-glu-d <none> (no description available) un xlibmesa3 <none> (no description available) un xlibosmesa-dev <none> (no description available) The version in experimental fixes it. The graphics is propperly placed in the window in that version. Thanks. There's another small glitch though. The part of the gears in glxgears that are around a small rectangle around the mouse cursor don't get properly redrawn.
