I think, I somewhat confused you with my last mail.
The Xwindows works perfectly, no problem with the new driver nor with the display.

My error:
In my previous PC video capturing was done by the graphics adapter card. Therefore I expected also for the ati card that a video input should be detected. But the log file says (line 1030): no video input detected. Thats what I referred to in my mail.

But it is absolutely correct, in the present pc the video capturing is done by the tv card, there is no video input on the ati card.

Please pardon the false alarm and have a nice weekend.
