My laptop with a i915GM was suspending to ram and to disk fine with the non-modesetting driver (i810), even if i had to use 915resolution to set the modes, vbetool to POST the video, and press the brightness keys for turning the backlight on again. Now with the modesetting driver the machine hangs even switching to the text console (CTRL-ALT-F1), and video doesn't come back after suspending anymore. I also had to increase the amount of videoram in xorg.conf because it was not able to activate DRI (not enough memory). --- System information. --- Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux 2.6.21.1 Debian Release: lenny/sid 990 testing www.debian-multimedia.org 990 testing ftp.de.debian.org 950 unstable www.debian-multimedia.org 800 unstable ftp.de.debian.org 700 experimental ftp.de.debian.org 600 unstable kanotix.com 500 unstable www.in.fh-merseburg.de --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed ====================================-+-=============== libc6 (>= 2.5-5) | 2.5-9+b1 libdrm2 (>= 2.3.0) | 2.3.0-4 xserver-xorg-core (>= 2:1.3.0.0) | 2:1.3.0.0.dfsg-6 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
