FWIW, I'd prefer to see the clients in separate (binary) packages from the server, which may be running on some other host. Also, in general, do the programs in each new package all have similar dependencies now? IIRC, one motivation for refactoring was complaints about xbase-clients depending on a lot of libraries that only a handful of the programs it contains actually needs, so it would be unfortunate if such "dependency pollution" were still present. -- Aaron M.
