Hello all!
I found a lot of documents that says that Xorg is better than Xfree86,
but I realized that Etch/Xorg is significantly slower than Sarge/
Xfree86 on my computer.
Is it normal?
Shall I open a bug?
I told this problem to a lot of user, but I can't find any accurate
answer and I think this could be a problem that regards the inner
structure on the X server (or the MGA driver?).

Computer:
Pentium III 800 MHz
768 MB SDRAM (133 MHz)
Matrox G450 32 MB AGP (fully supported by MGA driver)

Tests with:
- same computer
- same resolution ([EMAIL PROTECTED], LCD native)
- Gnome
- X properly configured
- DRI on

*glxgears*
- Debian 3.1 (Xfree86): 410 fps
- Debian 4.0 Live (Xorg): 320 fps

--> Xorg 25% slower than Xfree86

Other tests:
*tuxracer*
Debian Sarge: usable without problems
Debian Etch: unusable (it's not fluent)
*supertux*
Debian Sarge: 59 fps (with opengl)
Debian Etch: 48 fps (with opengl)
