Hi Bruce, I'll attach the original XF86Config-4 file from the initial installation and the revised file I'm now using. When I get some time ( probably later today ) I'll try reverting to the old , as you suggest, just to see if I get the small screen size. Bruce - I feel like I'm operating in a vacuum, with little contact with others running Sarge. I have a little Unix and C++ experience. Do you know of a suitable source of information where I can find others like myself? Paul
If you could send us the difference between your config file and the one generated by the installer, that would be great yes. Also, if you could save your config file and run dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 and see if you still get the same (broken) config, it'd ge great too.
