Bug #379480 is still present. My system froze up last week, and it froze up again today about half an hour ago. I have been tracking sid during this whole time (I keep fairly current with sid for testing purposes).
When I checked the status of this bug and saw that it had been closed on Dec 20, I tested the time skew again was was still able to reliably freeze X. Jiri's message on Dec 20 also pointed to a new bug #403822. When I tested the time skew, I actually experienced both of these bugs. When I hit Enter on the command "date -s 'Sun Jan 7 ...'", I had about five extra new lines appear in my xterm. That xterm was still responsive to keyboard activity, but my mouse-over window focus no longer worked. And when I tried to click on another window, X became completely unresponsive to all keyboard and mouse activity (no Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, Ctrl-Alt-F1, etc). So this bug is still present and reproducible on my system, in addition to experiencing bug #403822 when I trigger bug #379480.
