May I ask why bugs that are (sometimes easily) solvable don't even get attention from the maintainers? The release of etch is imminent and help on serious bugs would be of large interest to you. Now I know how to patch the tdfx driver to work in xorg 7.1, due to direct communication with the developers. (I was also instrumental for the mga 1.4.4 driver) However, in case upstream will not supply a new release, I will attempt to submit a patch for the driver.
