Actually, it looks like compiz doesn't require this at all but that the AIGLX function DoGetDrawableAttributes() sets the texture target to GLX_TEXTURE_RECTANGLE_EXT regardless of whether the driver supports that. So I'm reassigning this bug to xserver-xorg-core.
