Hi, Here's another vote for the splitup of xbase-clients. Not least because, on a clean system, this happens:
% apt-get install xbase-clients [...] The following NEW packages will be installed: defoma file fontconfig-config libdb4.4 libdrm2 libexpat1 libfontconfig1 libfs6 libgl1-mesa-glx libice6 libmagic1 libpng12-0 libsm6 libxaw7 libxcursor1 libxfixes3 libxft2 libxkbfile1 libxmu6 libxmuu1 libxpm4 libxrandr2 libxrender1 libxss1 libxt6 libxtrap6 libxtst6 libxv1 libxxf86dga1 libxxf86vm1 perl perl-modules ttf-dejavu ucf xbase-clients [...] 0 upgraded, 35 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Need to get 14,0MB of archives. After unpacking 49,2MB of additional disk space will be used. That's just horrible. The meaning of "base" in xbase-clients has been lost a long time ago, I guess. The split as outlined by Elrond in the submission of bug #332521 looks much better than this. The split off of mesa-utils helped, but not sufficiently, I guess. I noticed that it's just xclock that pulls in all the font* stuff. -- 2. That which causes joy or happiness. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
