Hi,
as mentionned above,
the problem involves the xserver-xorg.config.in script.
it affects upgrade and new install procedure of the
xserver-xorg package (and of course all of the package
(including x-window-system) depending on it).
I suggest you applying the patch from Steven Brown
(Thanks) if you want to correctly install the package.
To do it,
- build the dependance : "apt-get build-dep xserver-xorg"
- download the source package of xserver-xorg ( "apt-get
source xserver-xorg")
- untar this file and apply the patch ( in the
xserver-xorg source directory : patch < "the file with the
patch")
- compile the new package : dpkg-buildpackage
- and finally test and install (dpkg -i ) the new package
that you obtain.
