hi to the list,
i am running demudi 1.2.1 which is now etch based.
all the x-org stuff is on 6.9.0_1-4 level on my mashine now.
running vkeybd, pd or aterm i get following error message:
Application initialization failed: this isn't a Tk applicationunknown
color name "Black"
i allready tried to solve the problem my self, but was not successiful.
have already done:
murija2:/home/nowhiskey# locate
rgb.txt /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb.txt
and:
ln -s ln -s /etc/X11/rgb.txt /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb.txt
but it did not helped at all.
in case some of you has any idea what to do, i would be very thankfull
for a response.

hi, me again
i did some more investigation on this issue, and i found out sth which
perhaps can be very usefull.
first, here is a part of the /var/log/Xorg.0.log, which is realted to
the rgb.txt:
(==) RgbPath set to "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb"
(==) ModulePath set to "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules"
(II) Open ACPI successful (/var/run/acpid.socket)
Couldn't open RGB_DB '/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb'
(II) Module ABI versions:
but now comes the more interesting thing:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/X11R6/lib/X11$ ls
app-defaults getconfig Options twm xinit xserver
Cards icons proxymngr x11perfcomp xkb xsm
config lbxproxy rgb.txt xedit XKeysymDB
fonts locale rstart XErrorDB xman.help
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/X11R6/lib/X11$
now, copying and pasting this, i can read "rgb.txt" but on my console,
there is only a black line on that place and you cannot read the ls
entry rgb.txt!
does somebody understand, it is not easy to describe, but there is
proxymngr, than it comes a thick black line underneath and than it is
readibel agai-rstart!
typing:
murija2:/usr/X11R6/lib/X11# cd rgb.txt
bash: cd: rgb.txt: Zu viele Ebenen aus symbolischen Links
murija2:/usr/X11R6/lib/X11#
that means sth like " too much layers of symbolical links"
entering rgb.txt with joe, i get an "error reading file" message.
so this is what i found out about this issue, if someone have any
subgestion how to solve this problem, please response.
regards,
doc
