If I understand it clearly, there is no longer problems at runtime, only at buildtime ? I think some of the bugs which are merged to this one may need a bit of update. For instance #353572. Maybe something like saying that the downgrading workaround is no longer necessary for users of testing having upgraded libfreetype6, and that there's no longer a need for holding libxft2 package.
