We asked several times for porters to please submit patches for 7.0, as
the build system was completely new from 6.9.  Only Solaris and, to some
extent, FreeBSD, did (aside from Linux, obviously).  OpenBSD and
DragonFly BSD are starting to get in on it now.

Have you sent this patch upstream?
