Running the script proposed by David Nusinow at http://people.debian.org/~dnusinow/xlibs-split-2005-11-15.tar-bz2 gives the list of the new packages are supposedly required to build fontforge. Please note that I DID NOT DO ANY FURTHER CHECK. So the attached patch should be double-checked by using pbuilder, as suggested. I tagged this as important because this issue requires the maintainer's attention now.
