Oh, I know! Me and Daniel have been talking in #debian-x about the missing Marcelo. I know the packages aren't hurting for maintainers, I just want to have exactly what I'm working on in svn so people can see what's going on. I don't have any intention of uploading them to the actual Debian archive unless it becomes necessary to move the modular packages in. I'll probably delete the mesa and libdrm files once the necessary versions are in Debian, but for now it's mainly a convenience thing for myself and anyone else who wants to actively work on the packages (Julien has been making some headway on them as well). I'm on the mesa packaging list now also, so we can discuss it there if it becomes necessary. > > I'll be uploading the correct mesa 6.4 ones mentioned in the above in > > a little bit. > > I'd prefer if you didn't jump the gun but instead participated in the > thread above. > > After all, Daniel has shown repeatedly in the past that he's perfectly > capable of jumping the gun himself. :) > > /me ducks and runs... I won't be hijacking anything without discussing it extensively with everyone first. Again, I *really* don't want to hijack the packages or anything like that. I just want to keep the momentum going with the modular packages. Once we get to the point where uploading the modular packages to experimental looks attractive, that's when I'm going to start worrying about an NMU or whatever for mesa. > > With any luck I'll actually be able to build and run the modular server > > in a chroot tonight using what we've got in our svn repo... > > Coolness!
