I was cheating my ModeLine's, so I thought that some_modes and videogen could help me, but i found that videogen is very buggy (seems to be evene unfinished), for exaple
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ videogen -v could not open configuration file "~/.videogen" (errno=2) +--------------------------------------------------------------+ | | | videogen 0.31 simple XFree86 Modeline calculator | | | | by Szabolcs Rumi, (c) 1997 - 2002 | | THIS PROGRAM COMES WITH ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY | | for details see the GNU General Public License (GPLv2) | | | +--------------------------------------------------------------+ error: no modes (resolutions) have been specified (note that package version is 0.32-1) well if i ask for version it should not complain i didn't specify what modes i want. But also a lot of other more severe bugs, for example videogen -m=800x600 -mdc=200 -mhf=70 -mvf=120 -dvf=100 -hsp=1 Modeline "800x600" 64.72 800 824 1024 1024 600 602 605 632 # 65 MHz, 63.2 kHz, 100.0 Hz ithink that the two 1024 are wrong, or at least unexpected, moreover this videogen -m=800x600 -mdc=200 -mhf=70 -mvf=120 -dvf=100 -hsp=1 -vsp=200 is invalid, because it do not like vertical sync pulse = 200 (why?)
