Package: xdm
Version: 4.3.0.dfsg.1-9
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

hi,

the last update to xdm introduced a small bug which prevents
any user from logging in:

/etc/X11/xdm/Xstartup:
    exec sessreg -a -l "$DISPLAY" -u /var/run/utmp
                 -x /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers "$USER"

there must be a \ at the end of the first line:
    exec sessreg -a -l "$DISPLAY" -u /var/run/utmp \
                 -x /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers "$USER"
