Package: x-window-system Version: 4.3.0.dfsg.1-8 Followup-For: Bug #279698
A similar problem happened here on linux 2.6.8 and an AOpen board with an intel 82865G. Only in my case, the machine didn't lock up. Instead, both X and the VNC server session running on the same machine as X died. I upgraded to 2.6.9 in case this is an AGP solved in a later release, but haven't yet run it long enough to know if the problem still occurs. You'll note below that X ran for several days before finally crashing. If it happens again, I'll be sure to do that. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.9-1-686 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages x-window-system depends on: pn lbxproxy Not found. pn proxymngr Not found. pn twm Not found. ii x-window-system-core 4.3.0.dfsg.1-8 X Window System core components pn xdm Not found. pn xfs Not found. pn xfwp Not found. ii xnest 4.3.0.dfsg.1-8 nested X server ii xprt-xprintorg 0.0.9.final.001-7 Xprint - the X11 print system from ii xterm 4.3.0.dfsg.1-8 X terminal emulator ii xvfb 4.3.0.dfsg.1-8 virtual framebuffer X server
