Package: xlibs-data Version: 4.3.0.dfsg.1-6 Severity: minor In xlibs-data:
% grep '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/locale/locale.alias fi_FI fi_FI.ISO8859-15 fi_FI: fi_FI.ISO8859-15 In locales: % dpkg-reconfigure locales ... [ ] fi_FI ISO-8859-1 ... Thus generating the "fi_FI" locale and using it causes various compatibility problems between X applications and other applications. For example, terminal applications running in xterm assume an ISO-8859-1 terminal while xterm translates keyboard events as if it was an ISO-8859-15 terminal. Don't ask me which one is the right charset for a Finnish locale. :) However, I do think that the charset mismatch is a bug, either in xlibs-data or in locales.
