The problem with this suggestion is that most people don't know how to activate keyboard-only mode, or how to use it once it is activated (I'm an X veteran compared to many folks, and I can't remember which keypad buttons correspond to which mouse bottons, which is the lock, the drag, and so forth). Giving people a graphical environment they can't figure out how to use scarcely seems better than not giving them one at all. -- G.
