This double modifier breaks emacs (maybe not the debian package a emacs21 from SuSE on distant display), which sees a M-s modifier when I press Meta.
However using a .xmodmap with remove Mod4 = Meta_L add Mod3 = Meta_L makes everything wrok great. I think the option should do this, but do not know howxkb works and where to patch. -- Erwan
