Unfortunately this meant that on both systems X would not work after the install. The X log file told me to install x-window-system-core to get it to work. Unless I did something wrong, which in this case I don't think I did, this qualifies x-window-system-core as a dependency for xserver-xfree86. There are many other ways to run it - such as from remote systems, and many uses without x-window-system-core. It's split into multiple packages to allow people flexibility; most people should be installing via installers anyway, or through x-window-system. :) d --=20 Daniel Stone <[EMAIL PROTECTED] =2Eorg> Debian: the universal operating system http://www.debia= n.org --HcAYCG3uE/tztfnV Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAeVCOcPClnTztfv0RAo9vAJ9yVeXPeeCuEybPPlPZE/me53j1igCeIeC/ fgs2fIn/QJO0zopEQ1nzXjI= =fIEw -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --HcAYCG3uE/tztfnV--
