Package: lintian Version: 1.22.11 Severity: wishlist A check should be made for (build-)dependencies on xlibs and xlibs-dev, because they are transitional meta packages including all X libraries, while they are now properly split up.
Fixing dependencies will make it possible to not need to install all those X libs. At the same time, lintian should also check for maintainers adding ALL xlibs(-dev) dependencies, as this is very likely incorrect. Reminder to self: Don't forget to exclude xlibs(-dev) itself from this check... --Jeroen
