Hi. Thanks for the solution to this bug that's been plaguing me for a while now. Installing xfs-xtt and running it in parallel to xfs seems to have fixed things.
Just for future reference these are the programs I was trying to run (on unstable, running XFree86 4.2.1.1 (Debian 4.2.1-15 20031230220653) and Fluxbox 0.1.14) These would complain about fonts, then die: xfontsel, gv, bbsload, bbppp, bitmap, xcalc, gnomecal, xclipboard, xclock, xditview This would complain, then run anyway: xpdf These ran okay: gtkfontsel, MozillaFirebird, abiword, ethereal, dillo, gaim It's curious to me that xfontsel would segfault, but gtkfontsel ran with no problems. -Steve
