i _had_ done apt-get build-dep xserver-xfree86, and therefore i believe this to be a real error (unlike the other silly ones like using a ccache gcc script incorrectly). i will ask on the debian-x list as to what the problem might be. l. -- -- Truth, honesty and respect are rare commodities that all spring from the same well: Love.
