http://people.cc.jyu.fi/~juhtolv/tmp/bugreports/xfree86/applix01.jpg With this command: chbg -mode centertile /usr/local/textures/applix01.jpg I get result like this: http://people.cc.jyu.fi/~juhtolv/tmp/bugreports/xfree86/center-tiled.01.png I tried this setting in my Xfree86: Section "Device" Identifier "Matrox Millennium II" Driver "mga" ChipSet "mga2164w" VideoRam 16384 Option "XaaNoOffscreenPixmaps" Option "XaaNoPixmapCache" Option "NoAccel" EndSection And result looked like this: http://people.cc.jyu.fi/~juhtolv/tmp/bugreports/xfree86/center-tiled.02.png With different combinations of those "*No*" -options result looked like center-tiled.01.png or center-tiled.02.png . My video card vendor and model can be seen in that config.
