Yes, but the problem exists in 4.2.1 too, so I felt it merited release-critical severity. FWIW, DanielS sent me a patch http://www.trinity.unimelb.edu.au/~dstone/loaderdiff which, when applied to 4.3.0-0pre1v1 cures this problem.
