Package: xlibmesa3-gl Version: 4.2.1-6 Severity: grave Justification: causes non-serious data loss
The problem seems to lie in r128_drv.o X crashes when viewing certain web pages with Mozilla 1.3 (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312). One of these web pages is http://packages.debian.org There are many other web pages that also crash X. While I am very happy with the driver, it is certainly a nuisance to not be able to visit all my bookmarks with my favorite browser. The problem may or may not be caused by an unresolved symbol as reported when starting X: Symbol drmR128TextureBlit from module /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/r128_drv.o is unresolved! My debian situation is that I use the stable distribution, plus a few X packages in testing, because of the Ultra 128 support. My x log is available at http://kaliyuga.ath.cx/debian/bugs/xlibmesa3-gl/1 as is my list of installed debian packages. If you need help tracking the cause of this problem, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for all your work!
