Package: XFree86
Version: 4.1.0.1

When I try to start Xserv, I see the error:
(EE) VGA(0): Driver can't support depth 24
(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.

Fatal server error:
no screens found

I have a Pentium II 233 with a TNT 16mb video card. Running Debian 3.0

How can I repair this?
Thx

The VGA driver only supports depths 1, 4, and 8.

You should use debconf to configure your X server.

# dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86

In the future, when filing bugs against the XFree86 X server, please
supply the information requested by the XF86Config(7) manual page, or
use the "reportbug" package and command of the same name to file bugs.

Closing this report; configuration error on the user's part.
