I also suspect the nvidia drivers. In my case however stability has increased with the 41.91 version. X froze once since upgrading the driver in contrast to multiple times per week with 31.23... But after reviewing the dispatch loop and the smart scheduling code of the X Server I cannot rule out a general bug in the X Server code which is only triggered by the nvidia drivers... (On the other hand I don't know much about X, so I might as well be completely wrong). In any case I'm way out of my league here and since stability is quite OK now I also don't intend to pursue this further... Cheers, Mika
