Note: Because my USB keyboard got temporarily disconnected, I had
to execute
xkbcomp -w 0 -I$HOME/.xkb -R$HOME/.xkb keymap/custom $DISPLAY
in order to restore the Xkb settings. I'm wondering whether this is
related, because such crashes are unusual.
