From a Bits from the DPL link, I ended up on
<URL: https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/libxdmcp > noticing its Vcs links
point to <URL: git://git.debian.org/git/pkg-xorg/lib/libxdmcp >, which
by now is obsolete. I tried tracking down the old git repository via
<URL: https://alioth-archive.debian.org/git/pkg-xorg/ >, but there is no
lib/ subdirectory and no sign of the original libxdmcp git repository.
Is the old git repository lost?
In case it can help, and for your consideration, I downloaded old
versions from snapshot.debian.org and prepared a git repository
<URL: https://salsa.debian.org/pere/libxdmcp > with the already uploaded
versions, in case the git history need to be reconstructed. The git
repository is prepared for use with git-buildpackage.
I further prepared a git branch debian/latest-lintian-fixes with some
changes I believe are improvements to the packaging, for you to
merge, cherry-pick or ignore, depending on your needs.
it's here
https://salsa.debian.org/xorg-team/lib/libxdmcp
just hasn't seen an upload in over seven years, and no-one bothered to
clean things up and update the Vcs headers etc.
