Dear maintainer(s),

With a recent upload of glslang the autopkgtest of shaderc fails in testing when that autopkgtest is run with the binary packages of glslang from unstable. It passes when run with only packages from testing. In tabular form:

                       pass fail
glslang from testing 14.2.0-1
shaderc from testing 2023.2-1
all others from testing from testing

I copied some of the output at the bottom of this report. Normally "undefined reference to ..." means an ABI bump without a SONAME change. Is that the case here too?

Currently this regression is blocking the migration of glslang to testing [1]. Due to the nature of this issue, I filed this bug report against both packages. Can you please investigate the situation and reassign the bug to the right package?

Ok. Does that mean that the version of glslang in unstable "Breaks" the
version of shaderc in testing more than the version of glslang in
testing, but it's shaderc that is broken either way?

Yes.

On that understanding I have manually triggered the combined test and the
packages should migrate. Please close this bug if my understanding above
was correct.

shaderc migrated to testing more than two weeks ago, DebCI looks good,
so I'm closing this bug report.

Thanks for unlocking the situation!

Philippe.

PS: about shaderc, there is still a pending RFS for a new version:
