hello all, running glxinfo on a vanilla phase2v12 xserver-xfree86 reports:
-----------8<---------------------------8<---------------------- Xlib: sequence lost (0x10000 > 0x14) in reply type 0x0! X Error of failed request: BadLength (poly request too large or internal Xlib length error) Major opcode of failed request: 0 () Serial number of failed request: 0 Current serial number in output stream: 20 -----------8<---------------------------8<---------------------- The "fix": Replacing "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libdri.a" with the same file from v5 fixes the problem. I know this is not the right fix, but at least narrows bug finding to that certain file and, non the less, it brings DRI back to a working state for users. In case it may be helpfull, my cut down X log is: -----------8<---------------------------8<---------------------- [snip] (0): [drm] created "mga" driver at busid "PCI:1:5:0" (0): [drm] added 4096 byte SAREA at 0xc3fd1000 (0): [drm] mapped SAREA 0xc3fd1000 to 0x4001b000 (0): [drm] framebuffer handle = 0xdc000000 (0): [drm] added 1 reserved context for kernel (II) MGA(0): [drm] Registers = 0xd8000000 [drm] drmAgpEnabled succeeded (II) MGA(0): WARP Microcode Loaded (II) MGA(0): [drm] calced backoffset: 0x501000 (II) MGA(0): [drm] added 31 65536 byte DMA buffers (II) MGA(0): [drm] Mga Dma Initialization start (II) MGA(0): [drm] Mga Dma Initialization done (II) MGA(0): [drm] Initialized Dma Engine (II) MGA(0): [drm] dma control initialized, using IRQ 10 [snip] (0): [drm] installed DRM signal handler (0): [DRI] installation complete (II) MGA(0): direct rendering enabled (II) MGA(0): Using overlay video [snip] -----------8<---------------------------8<---------------------- I am upgrading to v13 right now and will report back weather the bug persists or not.
