I don’t seem to be able to reproduce this problem with either
7.7+7 (Buster, with *customization: -color) or 7.7+8 (Bullseye,
without). My guess is that it got fixed somewhere along the way
(say, with the introduction of bitmap 1.0.8 in 7.7+5.)
I suppose this bug can now be closed.
